Balaji Rice Industries Private Limited was established in 1988 in Kharora, Raipur, Chhattisgarh in the heart of India’s central rice-growing belt. What began as a regional grain processing business has grown, over nearly four decades, into one of India’s top 10 non basmati rice exporters, with over $300 million in export transactions and active supply relationships spanning 20+ countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas including China.

Our founder’s belief, carried forward by the Agrawal family across three generations of leadership, was straightforward: control quality at the source, and quality at the destination takes care of itself. That belief shapes our direct farmer procurement programme in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, our in-house laboratory testing at every batch stage, and our refusal to compromise on moisture, cleanliness, or broken percentage — regardless of order size or market pressure.
